Banff & Buchan MP Eilidh Whiteford is urging local Independence supporters, and those wanting to know what the future holds post-Brexit, to make their voices heard at a special meeting in Peterhead’s Palace Hotel.
‘The Road to Independence’ will host Dr Whiteford, along with fellow MP and rising SNP star Mhairi Black, along with Gordon McIntyre-Kemp, CEO of Business for Scotland.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 9 at 7pm and is open to all.
It will provide an open forum for discussion, following the Scottish Government’s announcement that it will be holding a consultation on the matter.
Banff & Buchan MP Eilidh Whiteford said: “The Brexit process has created huge uncertainty for businesses and individuals.
“The meeting will be an opportunity for us to explore those concerns, and to discuss how we best protect Scotland’s interests going forward.
“It’s great to have the opportunity to hear Mhairi Black and Gordon McIntyre-Kemp, who have worked tirelessly towards independence.”
Eilidh added: “It’s great that we’ve got a central venue in the middle of Peterhead – I would urge people to book early via Eventbrite.
“We will have a limited number of tickets on the door, and refreshments will be available.”
Tickets are free, and can be booked at http://peterheadsnptickets.eventbrite.co.uk.
