The administrative restructuring at Aberdeenshire Council following Monday’s special meeting has led to the reorganisation of various committees.
Former council leader and Mid-Formartine Councillor Jim Gifford lost his position as chairman of the influential policy and resources committee.
Councillor Peter Argyle was also replaced as chairman of the infrastructure services committee, a post he had held for the last seven years.
The new structure is:
Policy and Resources Committee: chair Councillor Martin Kitts-Hayes; vice-chair Councillor Richard Thomson.
Education, Learning and Leisure Committee: chair Councillor Alison Evison; vice-chair Councillor Charles Buchan.
Infrastructure Services Committee: chair Councillor David Aitchison; vice-chair Councillor Stephen Smith.
Social Work and Housing Committee: chair Councillor Anne Allan; vice-chair Councillor Raymond Christie.
Scrutiny and Audit Committee: chair Councillor Gillian Owen; vice-chair Councillor Ross Cassie.
There were no changes to area committee chairs or vice chairs.
