CALA Homes (North) is seeking views for a proposed residential development at Oldmeldrum during a public consultation event being held today, (Thursday, May 28).
The event will give local residents the opportunity to contribute to CALA Homes vision for the site.
Taking place at Meldrum House Golf Club from 2–8pm, representatives from CALA Homes will share visuals and speak to visitors about the plans and the styles of homes being proposed.
CALA Homes (North) submitted a Proposal of Application Notice to Aberdeenshire Council for the development, situated at the Glebe to the west of Urquhart Road in the town, in April.
The submission signalled the start of a 12 week long consultation period, during which CALA will carefully craft a masterplan followed by a planning application for the site, in collaboration with the local community.
Mike Naysmith, Managing Director at CALA Homes (North), said: “We are very keen to engage with the local community and incorporate their feedback into our plans.
“We’re very interested to hear what local people think of our initial ideas and are open to their suggestions so we would welcome anyone interested in discussing the development to join us on May 28.”
Details of the second community event, expected to take place in June, will be released shortly.
The plans for the suggested development will consist of residential properties, including affordable homes and thereafter church and community facilities.
