The 2017 Newburgh Gala took place at the weekend and spirits were high despite the cold and wet conditions.
The event was held on Saturday, May 20 at Newburgh Mathers School.
The Inverurie Pipe Band kicked-off proceedings, setting off the 10th Castle Canter.
Those that attended enjoyed taking part in activities including archery, bungee tampolines, tennis, bouncy assault course and netball.
Crouds were delighted to meet the Critter Keeper and his various friends, as well as enjoying dancing from the Lawrence School of Dance and a musical performance by the Inverurie Concert Band.
Organisers said: “We think the gala went as well as it could given the weather.
“We would like to thank the stall holders, raffle donors and everyone who volunteered on the day to make it run smoothly and be as enjoyable as possible.
“We would like to thank everyone who popped down to the gala, it’s great to see family, friends and neighbours catching up and making some memories.”
They added: “The raffle prize winners were all delighted - especially those who won £100 in cash as it’s not often you see a £100 note.
“This is the first year we have had a licence to sell alcohol and the bar was a success with everyone who visited enjoying a drink responsibly!”
