A celebratory lunch was organised for the residents of Hanover Court in Tarves on Wednesday, September 13.
The residents got together for a special three course lunch to celebrate 35 years since the development opened.
Patty Bolland and Albert Aitchison, who have lived at Hanover Court for over 23 years and 17 years respectively, cut the celebratory cake.
The special lunch followed a busy morning with residents showcasing the various social clubs on offer as part of an open day to promote the development.
Hanover Court residents regularly take part in coffee mornings, a whist club, as well as a weekly knitting club where clothing and toys are made and sent to children in Malawi.
Patty said: “It is lovely that so many of the residents came together to celebrate this occasion, there is a great sense of community here and I hope that there will be many more anniversaries to mark.”
Michelle Greenfield, Hanover Court’s Sheltered Housing Manager said: “A great afternoon was had by all. I’d like to thank all the residents who came along and made the celebrations so special and for helping to make our open morning such a success.”
