Robert Gordon University's (RGU) Careers & Employability Centre is holding its annual Part-Time Jobs Fair for students next week.
The fair, which is taking place on Wednesday, September 28, supports new and returning students to find opportunities for part-time work and offers businesses the opportunity to meet with and attract employees.
Students will be able to find out about part-time jobs across a range of sectors including leisure, hospitality and care at the fair, which will run from 10.30am to 2.30pm in RGU’s Sir Ian Wood Building.
More than 30 employers are set to exhibit at the fair this year, including Avon, Belhaven Pubs, Explore Learning, Hilton Hotels, Inspire, Kings Camps, RNLI Lifeguards and Sodexo.
The university's Careers & Employability Centre team will also be present to offer advice and guidance. The Careers & Employability Centre supports students to realise their future career aims following graduation, as well as helping them to find part-time work to support their finances and gain valuable work experience whilst studying.
Filippo Antoniazzi, Director of Student Life at RGU, said: "The cost of attending university is often supplemented by students undertaking a part-time job, allowing them to study and earn whilst developing their transferable skills such as customer and client service, communication, team working and problem solving, which are all skills in demand by future graduate employers.
“The event supports students and employers alike by offering exhibition space and providing a pool of enthusiastic, well-qualified employees suitable for a range of sectors."
