Ellon-based craft beer firm BrewDog is celebrating its recent success at the third annual Scottish Beer Awards.

Nearly 400 guests from across the UK brewing industry gathered in Edinburgh on Thursday, September 27, to find out who the lucky award winners were after a wide-ranging competition which has been running since February.

Awards were presented for both business performance and taste after 296 Scottish beers were presented into the blind tasting competition.

BrewDog enjoyed further success this year winning a total of six medals in the IPA, Barrel Aged, Stout and Amplified Beers categories.

It was awared Gold for its King of Eights and Bronze for Hazy Jane in the Best IPA category, a Silver for its Jet Black Heart in the Best Stout category, Silver for Pulp Patriot in the Best Amplified Beer category, a Silver for its Corpse Reviver in the Best Sour Beer category, and a final Silver for its Dog G in the Best Barrel Aged Beer category.
