Camping on the sand dunes of Loch Strathbeg will form part of the RSPB’s Big Wild Sleep Out next month.
All those taking part will meet at St Combs on Saturday, August 10 at 6pm, and then walk along the beach to the campsite.
The evening will be spent round a campfire, or hunting for moths, bats and badgers in the dunes.
Diana Spencer, visitor and publicity officer at RSPB Loch of Strathbeg, said: “This is going to be a totally new way to experience the reserve”,.
“You’ll get to camp in a beautiful spot over-looking the loch, be woken by birdsong and watch the sun rise over the sea while you eat your breakfast.”
Participants need to bring their own camping equipment and any food they require and the RSPB will provide water and campfire supplies.
Prices are £20 for adults and £10 for children who are non-members and £15 for adults and £5 for children who are RSPB members. To book, phone 01346 532017 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
