Ellon Rotary Club hosted a successful Club Showcase Evening at the Station Hotel recently.

The event was held on Thursday, March 28 and featured 35 different clubs, groups and charities from across the local area.

Speaking to the Times after the event Graham Clark of Ellon Rotary Club said: “It was a great night and it shows that there is so much on the go in the Ellon area.

“We just thought of doing this as it is a good way of letting people see what’s available in the area.

“Some clubs have tried hosting open day events themselves but have had no success so this is a good way of promoting all of the clubs.

“Some of the clubs said that they had lots of enquiries andpotential new members.

“A lot of them were delighted with the night and said they would come back if there was another event like this again.”

Graham added: “We hope that this could become an annual event.”
