A top award has been presented to a woman for her work at a care home in Ellon.
Elaine Strachan from Mintlaw collected the Meallmore Ltd’s ceremony last week.
Elaine, 33, looks after the administration at Auchtercrag House Care Home in Ellon and was nominated by residents, their families and staff.
She said that it was both a shock and surprise to win the award.
Elaine said: “I really enjoy my job and love working with the whole team at Meallmore, as well as spending time with the residents and their families. It means a lot to know that you’re making a difference to people’s lives by ensuring they are as happy and comfortable as possible.”
The ceremony was held on Thursday, October 9 at Perth Race Course to recognise the positive impact that Meallmore staff have on people’s lives everyday.
Elaine picked up the award through her dedication in the role and ensuring the smooth running of all administration tasks and staff training at the home.
Speaking after the award ceremony, managing director, Gerry Hennessey added: “I am very proud of Elaine for winning the award.
“It’s important that we take time to recognise our employees’ outstanding efforts and ongoing commitment to our residents. These awards are a great way to identify these individuals and say thank you.”
