President Moyra Mitchell welcomed members to the first meeting of Alford SWRI for 2015, and introduced Mike Ward from the Grampian Transport Museum in Alford.

Mike gave a very interesting talk on how the museum started and the “Alford Cavalcade” right up to the present day with the museums vast display of vehicles and the events that attract thousands to the village each year.

Mike also praised the team of volunteers who keep the Museum and events running smoothly.

An enjoyable tea was served by Sheila Andrew and her assistants and afterwards Sheena Esson proposed the vote of thanks.

Meanwhile, president Frances Simond welcomed members and guests to the January meeting of Kintore SWRI.

Members were then entertained by two Rotarian friends, Stuart Watson and Arthur Taylor who, along with slides and anecdotes took us along the Camino Way, a pilgrimage they did together in 2013. A very enjoyable evening.
