Two children and an adult were injured after a crash on the outskirts of Ellon on Sunday.

The crash happened at around 2.10pm on the A948 at the turn off on the town’s Golf Road.

An ambulance took an 11-year-old boy to ARI and another child and male were taken to hospital in a separate vehicle.

Early reports suggested that six people were hurt, which led to an air ambulance, three ambulances, two fire engines and three police cars attending the scene.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said: “The 11-year-old was trapped and released with cutting gear.”
