Top level meeting on Aberdeenshire floods

A MULTI-AGENCY meeting will be held to discuss recent flooding that affected Stonehaven and other parts of Aberdeenshire.

Aberdeenshire Council, Grampian Police and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) are among the agencies attending the summit in Stonehaven on Tuesday, January 29.

Stonehaven residents and businesses affected by flooding, the town’s community council and business association have also been invited.

The meeting will be chaired by the council’s chief executive Colin Mackenzie and officers from the various agencies will give a summary of flooding across region on Saturday, December 15, and on Sunday, December 23, including the weather and environmental conditions, and action taken by relevant agencies during and after the emergency.
