Biker injured following two-vehicle collision

A motorcyclist was injured and taken to hospital after a horrific two-vehicle collision in Fraserburgh.

The 47-year-old man, believed to be from Sandhaven, was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious head injuries following the crash.

The accident happened at around 11.05am on Sunday, March 9, near the town’s Kessock Garage.

An ambulance helicopter landed on Maconochie Road before conveying the injured biker to hospital.

The collision involved the driver of the white Suzuki motorcycle and the driver of a green Volkswagon car, who is also from the Fraserburgh area.

The stretch of road between South Harbour Road and the Community Centre was closed for several hours while police examined the scene. The road reopened at around 3.30pm.
