Upgrade work is set to get underway on Ellon's River Side Walk path from Monday, April 2.
The upgrade work will be carried out by Hunter Construction and is expected to last around eight weeks depending on the weather.
The work will see the path widened to three meters along the route of the existing River Side Walk path linking Modley Place and Smiddy Lane.
It will also involve excavating topsoil, installing new kerbing, applying new surfacing and installing new Street Lighting.
Every effort will be made to minimise the inconvenience to residents but unfortunately the path will be closed while the work is being carried out.
The work is expected to be carried out in three sections so that parts of the path will remain open.
Work sections will be closed off with diversion routes signed.
