Witness appeal after Methlick crash

Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on the B9170 Oldmeldrum to Methlick road near the Craigdam junction, Aberdeenshire that occurred about 12.10pm on Saturday, August 3.

The collision involved a red Honda motorcycle and a black Hyundai Santa Fe motor car.

The 78 years-old man who was riding the motorcycle was taken by ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he remains in a serious condition. The 61 years-old man who was driving the car was uninjured.

The road remained closed for over eight hours while Police carried out their investigations.
