The Ythan Fiddlers are gearing up to celebrate their 30th anniversary rally next month in Haddo House Hall.
The group will be holding an eagerly-awaited concert on Saturday, May 9, at 7.30 pm. It follows their recent four-day trip to the Western Isles.
The visit included not only concerts in North and South Uist and a fiddle workshop, but the chance for the group members to appreciate the beautiful scenery, beaches and history of the area.
Joining the fiddlers on stage at Haddo this year are visiting players from all over Scotland.
Featured special guest artists are fiddler Graham Mackenzie, from Inverness, and compere/singer William Williamson ,from Dumfries, Organiser say it will all add to a great night of traditional Scottish entertainment.
Tickets are available from J&K Shoes, Ellon, or by calling Colin on 01651 851721 or Trish on 01358 720598.
Last summer the Fiddlers were on the travels when they went on a highly-successful trip to Canada.
During the busy visit to Nova Scotia, the group played at concerts, ceilidhs, an old folks’ home and also took in some sight-seeing.
They even entertained in Iceland while awaiting a connecting flight.
