The Ythanview Hotel in Methlick is looking for keen cyclists to join their 100K cycling challenge on Sunday, July 19.
The challenge will start in Ballater before the participants come to a halt in Methlick.
Jay Allan, owner of the Ythanview Hotel, is organising the event and expects around 100 people to take part.
Jay, 50, said: “It is a challenge, not a race. About 70% will be on flat ground.
“It is going to be tough on the day.”
The cycle challenge is in aid of the Legion Scotland as well as the Methlick branch of the legion.
This is his first cycle challenge and Jay hopes to return to this event in the future.
“I am really enjoying it and I intend it to be an annual event.
There will be a well-earned barbecue at the hotel for participants to enjoy after the challenge.
War veteran, Bill Adie, will also be there to present medals.
Jay added: “Mike and Dianne McLellan run the legion here and they do so much for the area and the war memorial and it would be nice to give something back to them and support them.”
The entrance fee is £25 or participants can raise £25 for the legion by being sponsored.
Application and sponsor forms can be found on the hotel website: www.ythanviewhotel.co.uk
