Inverurie Locos forward Martin Bavidge collected the Top Goal Scorer plus the Players Player of the Year and the Committee Player of the Year at the Spring Ball on Saturday night in front of over 320 guests at the Garioch Sports Club.
The black-tie event, which has become a regular date in the Locos calendar, was this year staged at the The Venue at the Garioch Sports Centre.
Chairman Eddie Innes praised all those involved in running the club, the fans, the sponsors and the management and players who had significant pressure placed on them because of the introduction of the new pyramid system in Scottish football.
Eddie said, “We offer our congratulations to the unbeaten Brora Rangers side who have dominated the HFL for the past two seasons and we sincerely hope they will make it to the Scottish Football League following the introduction of the play off systems involving Highland and Lowland league winners.
“The Pyramid system has brought challenges with trying to fit so many games into a compressed season and from our final match last week we are likely to have the longest close season period in our time in the HFL. This season we have had more than our fair share of injuries which has also affected our performances but I think the club is run in the manner you would expect of a semi-professional set up.
“The turn out and atmosphere tonight is terrific and Id like thank Gill Macaulay in particular for her efforts in staging the event.”
