This was a crucial game for Formartine United against a Turriff side they seldom defeat and they ground out a 3-2 away win on Saturday that keeps their championship bid firmly on course.
With Brora only mustering a share of the points at home to Locos, it means United are now one of only two sides left who can lift the title solely on the basis of their own efforts, without having to rely on others to drop points. Ominously, that other club is Cove Rangers.
The performance was impressive, the gain even greater as Formartine ground out a result that again demonstrated their ability to keep going hammer and tongs for the full 90 minutes.
But it was the home side who took the lead in the 15th minute when Bowden headed home a free kick.
United were level six minutes later. Wood clipped the ball to Lawson who sent in a fierce drive which took a deflection before landing in the net.
Formartine edged in front in the 26th minute when Wood curled in an angled ball over Main and into the top right corner.
Into the second half and Turriff tried to take the game to the visitors and were back on level terms in the 51st minute from the penalty spot.
Anderson fouled Booth and Kuznecovs fired home the spot kick.
But it was Formartine who grabbed another late match-winner seven minutes from time...and it was a cracking effort.
Bagshaw caught the ball full on the volley with his right foot, hammering an unstoppable 20-yarder that flashed past Main into the net.
