Ellon United may have just ended their season, but there will be no rest for the hard-working committee who are already looking to the 2014/15 season.
Club president Billy Gordon is positive about their prospects - despite the team’s disappointing campaign.
He said: “We did not enjoy the best of seasons, ending up just too near the relegation area for comfort, although we played well enough. We’ll improve if we carry the same attitude forward.”
Next up for the club will be the annual dinner in the New Inn on Saturday, May 31.
The popular event will be compered by former P&J journalist Peter Mitchell, who will be introducing two top-class speakers on the night, including the renowned journalist, author and film writer Jack Webster.
Joining Jack at the top table will be Len Murray, a leading after-dinner speaker who is an expert on Robert Burns and an honorary life member of the Greenock Burns Club, reputed to be the world’s oldest Burns club.
Tickets are still available at £45 and can be obtained from the committee.
