BUCHAN Off-road Motorcycle Club is raring to go for the new season ahead.
The club was set up in 2003 to provide a safe and legal facility for off-road motorcycles and quad bikes in the north east of Scotland for both the young and older rider. It is run in association with the MC Federation.
The track is located off the A98 Fraserburgh to Banff road near the New Pitsligo junction. Turn off the A98 at the sign posted Pennan five miles and follow the road for approximately two miles. Go straight on at the cross roads for a further two miles where you will find the track on the left hand side.
As well as a full-sized track there is also a smaller track for the younger children with their auto bikes to practice and race on.
The Ccub offers adult, child and family memberships for full use of the track between 9am and 6pm Monday to Saturday and 10am and 4pm on a Sunday.
This year’s race dates are as follows:Sunday, March 24; Sunday, April 21; Sunday, June 2; Sunday, August 4; Sunday, August 25 and Sunday, September 22, with a reserve date of Sunday, October 20.
New and existing motocross and quad riders are always welcome to go along and compete on race days. Day race licences are also available to purchase on the day if needed.
Sign on for racing starts at 8am, and all bikes will be scrutineered and riders must be ready for practice laps starting at 10am sharp. There are 12 different classes to race in depending on age and the size of the bike owned.
Riders must wear MX clothing, suitable boots and an approved helmet.
