Success at Garioch swimming championships

There was great excitement as 70 swimmers aged 6 and over took part in this year’s Garioch Amateur Swimming Club’s Club Championships at Inverurie Swimming Pool on November 8 and 9.

A large audience watched some excellent performances, with up and coming swimmers performing alongside the more established swimmers to provide tremendous entertainment. Great fun was had by all those who took part and there were some memorable achievements across all ages, with many amazing personal bests.

The following won gold medals in their respective groups: Finley Cousins (11): 6 golds; Shannon Crawford (15): 2 golds; Freya Cummine (9) 1 gold; Caitlin Dick (11) 1 gold; Findlay Douglas (16) 3 golds; Austeja Erniute (14) 4 golds; Isla Garden (7) 1 gold; Gavin Haggerwood 2 golds; Isla Johnston (11) 1 gold; Johanna Mackenzie (8) 4 golds; Heather McIntosh (14) 1 gold; Daniel McKenzie (14) 5 golds; Ben McLaughlin (8) 4 golds; Daniel McNally (15) 1 gold; Phelim McNally (13) 1 gold; Lauren McPhee (13) 1 gold; Ross McWatt (8) 1 gold; Alastair Miley (19) 2 golds; Nicole Ogg (11) 3 golds; Isla Overton (8) 1 gold; Anya Slessor (10) 6 golds; Conrad Slessor (9) 6 golds;

Over £500 was collected from the raffle.
