Tolquhon Gallery is running a series of Weekend Workshops at Art on the Green in Udny Green over the summer months.
The first workshop took place at the weekend, led by artist Kirstie Cohen from Inverness-shire.
Joan Ross of Tolquhon Gallery said, “It was a great weekend. The workshop was a sell-out and for once, the artists could even paint out of doors in the glorious sunshine that lasted all weekend.”
Another workshop takes place this weekend which focuses on Still Life in Oils, while the third painting workshop takes place on August 3 and 4. The theme is ‘From Concept to Creation’ and Graham Fyfe will lead it.
On August 10 and 11, Ken Ingram offers an opportunity to anyone interested in photography to improve the quality of their images. The session will begin with camera basics and settings so everyone knows how to get the most from their cameras.
The summer programme ends on August 17 and 18 with a weekend of Creative Writing. Haworth Hodgkinson is well known as a writer and poet as well as a musician. He will use the features of Udny Green village to explore writing in response to a sense of place.
Workshops are limited to a maximum of 11 people and are suitable for people of all abilities and are informal and sociable while being instructive.
