After a well-earned seasonal break the Ellon Cinema team will launch their 2018 programme this weekend with a ‘must see’ special on the big screen.

Recent movie blockbuster release, Star Wars: The last Jedi (12A) will be shown at the Victoria Hall on Saturday, January 13, at 3pm.

Rey (Daisy Ridley) develops her newly discovered abilities with the guidance of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), who is unsettled by the strength of her powers. Meanwhile, the Resistance prepares to do battle with the First Order.

The film also stars Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, John Boyega and features the late Carrie Fisher in her final movie.

The cinema will then return on Sunday, January 21 with screenings of Ferdinand (U) at 3pm, and Wonder (PG) at 6pm.

February will get off to a fantastic start with screenings of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (12A) at 3pm and The Greatest Showman (PG) at 6pm on Sunday, February 4.

Meanwhile on Sunday, February 18, there will be screenings of the new Disney Pixar movie Coco (PG) at 3pm, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing (15) at 6pm.

Tickets for all of the films are now available to purchase online at www.victoriahallellon.co.uk/cinema and they will also be available to buy on the door prior to each screening.

Doors open up to one hour before the screenings are due to begin.
