Ellon Parish Church Drama Group are nearly ready to take to the stage for their big showcase.

The local group will be performing Aladdin at the town’s Kirk Centre, from November 30 through to December 3, with various showtimes, to suit all!

Rehearsals for the pantomine are said to be going very well and the tickets are selling fast – so if you haven’t got yours hurry before you miss out!

The cast have been rehearsing since June with a summer break but the group are now counting the days.

With the majority of the cast holding down full time jobs, looking after families, and holding down other commitments, the team still find the time for their local panto.

Audiences will see Widow Twankey who is delighted that Aladdin brings wealth and prosperity to the Ellonites but the poor boy still has to face Abanazer’s wicked ways. With the help of the Genie of the Ring, Genie of the Lamp, and the local townsfolk, all might come good in the end, or will it?

Performances take place on Saturday, November 30: 4pm. Sunday, December 1: 2.30pm and 6pm. Monday, December 2: 7pm. Tuesday, December 3: 7pm.
