Open Days will be held at Ellon police and fire stations next Saturday (May 28).
Officers from the Ellon Community Policing Teams will host the event at Ellon police station from 2pm and 4.30pm, which will coincide with the open day at Ellon fire station.
Running from 1.15pm to 4pm, the fire station event will feature a selection of emergency services vehicles, practical demonstrations and community safety advice.
Station Manager Willie Chisholm, SFRS, said: “Vehicles from Police Scotland, Scottish Ambulance Service and SFRS will be on display and visitors will be able to see the huge range of equipment that is carried on board each appliance to deal with any 999 emergency.
“Throughout the day the fire service crew will be running a series of demonstrations using pumps and ladders and hydraulic rescue equipment to give a taste of what work we do every day.
Meanwhile Sergeant Andy Sawers, who has organised the police station open day, said: “We are delighted to be able to invite members of the public in to the Ellon station and answer any questions people may have about policing and to discuss local concerns and security issues.
“These events are a great opportunity for young and old to engage with some of our local staff and see how varied the life of a police officer can be.”
Visitors to the police open day can meet the Road Policing unit and the Police Dog Unit, as well as being able to tour the station, see the cells and have their fingerprints taken.
