One Man Shoe, a delightful, dynamic and uplifting show for families will be performed in New Deer Public Hall this weekend.
The delightful, dynamic and uplifting show for children will be performed by Jango Starr on Sunday, November 27 at 3pm.
When the headline act fails to show up, Jango, a bumbling theatre caretaker, is suddenly thrust into the limelight and embarks on a hilarious journey of highly crafted and heart-felt silent comedy, as he magically finds his way to realise his dream of transforming into a star!
Jango Starr’s unique style of silent physical theatre includes contemporary circus clowning, slapstick comedy, puppetry, juggling and absurd magic, bringing laughter and joy to all ages!
One Man Shoe was developed with the support of Creative Scotland and On Fife Cultural Trust earlier this year, then toured Scotland in Spring 2016 to wide acclaim from audiences and venues performing 25 Shows in 21 Venues and is now coming to New Deer.
An award winning team created the show directed by Gerry Mulgrew, original music by Philip Pinsky, designer Becky Minto and choreography by Janis Claxton.
Sue Robertson, Volunteer Promoter said: “Jango has been performing for over 25 years including theatre, big top circus, Edinburgh Festival, Glasgow Commonwealth Games and many more.
"He is an audience favourite that appeals to all ages, a classic clown who is a master of his art."
Tickets are £9, £7 or £28 for families and can be bought from Food for Thought and Pharmacy, New Deer 01771 644366/644217, at www.neatshows.org.uk or on the door.
