All roads lead to Castle Fraser near Kemnay on the weekend of June 15/16 for the annual Aberdeen Bon Accord Steam Engine Club rally.

Probably the largest of its kind in Scotland, the event will see the appearance of over 193 tractors of all ages.

There will be some 14 miniature steam engines and 49 stationary engines once a regular sight on farms.

The list of entries continues with 25 vintage commercial lorries and the crowning glory, some 26 beautifully restored steam traction engines including nine showmans engines, 10 steam lorries plus nine steam road rollers.

Many of the steam entries are more than 100 years old and the ever-popular parade will really bring them to life.

There will also be around 90 vintage and classic vehicles coming from across Britain.

In addition there will be 12 model displays and 21 trade stalls plus a raft of entertainment also featuring Joseph’s Amazing Racing Pigs, Mr Arbuthnot and his Cabinet of Curiosities, Terrier Racing, a Punch and Judy Show and refreshments.

Visitors will also get the opportunity to ride on the footplate of a steam engine or on the back of a vintage steam lorry.

The show runs each day from 10am to 4.30pm and car parking is free.
