A LOCAL musician will be joining forces with an up and coming band from Peterhead and an Aberdeen DJ later this month, to put on a night of live music and disco in Ellon’s New Inn Hotel.

Jack Coghill will take the stage with band ‘The Unknown’ and the Sound of KTF Disco, Playing a range of sounds from current chart hits to popular floor fillers, Motown, 60’s, Soul, Britpop and Dance, organisers hope to make it a night designed to appeal to all ages from 18 upwards.

Ticket sales dependant, organisers have stated their intention to ‘give something back to the local community’, by making a donation to the Ellon Academy 2011 fund.

Jack said he was excited about the event. “I thought it would be good to do a gig to showcase some local talent. Folk like their live music, and I felt that it would be good to do something a bit different for a Saturday night in Ellon.

“I met the guys in ‘The Unknown’ about two years ago at the Peterhead scooter rally. They do a mixture of Mod classics, like The Who, the Kinks and Oasis, so there should be something for everyone.”

Tickets cost £8 and are available from the reception at the New Inn Hotel. Payment at the door will also be available.
