Oh yes it is! It’s Tivoli panto time

Attic Theatre will return for a third time to perform their Christmas pantomime at Aberdeen’s historic Tivoli Theatre.

The Aberdeen-based amateur dramatics company will be performing Dick Whittington and his Cat at the newly-renovated venue - but with a North-east twist.

It follows Dick’s trials and tribulations as he falls in love, is framed for a crime he didn’t commit and fights to prove his innocence.

The cast of 20 adults and 40 children have been rehearsing since August.

The production sees them dancing and singing along to some favourite chart toppers, including S Club 7 and Robbie Williams.

The company also have some impressive special effects planned which will involve a scary creature from the deep.

Emma Gibb, from Inverurie, who plays the title role, said: “Rehearsals have been hard work but also a lot of fun.

“Everyone works together as one big family to put on the best panto possible.”

Dick Whittington and his Cat runs from December 5 (Saturday) to December 19.

Tickets for the show are available online at Aberdeen Performing Arts, or from the Aberdeen Box Office.
