Elaine C Smith is all set for a change of pace as she prepares to take a teatime role in the city’s newest theatre venture A Play, a Pie and a Pint.

Elaine is to play a woman who thinks she is Billy Connelly in the second play in the PPP series, Saint One by North-east actress and writer Lesley Hart to be staged at The Lemon Tree Lounge for a week from Tuesday, October 22.

The three-strong cast also includes another familiar face on the Aberdeen stage scene, Helen Mackay and Ewan Donald, who has been part of several productions at Oran Mor.

Saint One features a Stonehaven chip shop cast adrift in the North Sea by a giant wave – as three people search among the wreckage and their battered lives, for some kind of meaning, memories lost, a way back home, and to find out what the Big Yin has to do with it all.

Tickets deliver a play, drink and pie in the Lemon Tree Lounge at 6pm Tuesday to Friday and 1pm Saturday.

Tickets are available at, 01224 641122 and Aberdeen Box Office.
